Short Fast and Loud Issue 20 for our s/t 7″:
“Noisey abrasive as sand paper on you taint!! Total beastial blast beats and low, crushing down-tuneage on the git= one fucked up destruction unit here from Portland! Cool stop and start grindcore bits with fire-breathing gal on the mic, this shit in not for timid or your grandmother. Sounds like DISCORDANCE AXIS getting attacked with a fire extinguisher. Gnarly nuclear blastcore. “

The Defector Issue 41
TRANSIENT – S/T 7″ (self-released?)
Man! I can’t believe that every time I’ve tried to see this band (including most recently) I get caught up in something stupid or less brutal than this 7″! The music is grind with a dash of death metal - not in the wrong cliché ways, but in it’s sheer heaviness. This is especially since they only have one guitar. Vocals styling for this 7″ is done in a quite superb way. Kyrsta’s vocals shrill almost as if she was screaming on a mountain top miles away from the mic. The lyrical length and content is very minimal they average between 5 to 7 lines, this again is complementary to the song structures. Also I feel the bass on this record is very thuddy but not in the “I’m drowning out the rest of the music with a flat sound that is clipping because the frequencies are too low” seriously another plus. Anyway next chance you get… call in sick or quit your job, break up with someone, just so you can see this band and pick up their 7″. - Deterrorsean
Very Distrubition:
Man, this is seriously like an updated version of Die Kreuzen with One Eyed God Prophecy, or Uranus. That older Great American Steak Religion sound. Then there’s a good portion of this that is disgustingly filthy, and exactly what should be coming out of Portland. It’s got a vibe that reminds me of 1996, when His Hero Is Gone, Spazz, and Brutal Truth were at their collective peaks.
